President Yoweri Museveni has received the African Leadership Peace Award from the African Leadership Magazine which credits the outstanding personalities for their leadership, social, political and economic contribution for the growth and development of Africa.

The award was given to him last night at the Royal Geographical Society in London where he also delivered a key note address on the theme; Harnessing Africa’s Global Economic Appeal before policymakers and leading CEOs from across Africa with their counterparts from the United Kingdom government.

President Museveni who is attending the UK Africa Investment Summit that opened on Monday hailed the African Leadership Magazine for the award saying Africa will continue to rise and shine once her problems are diagnosed correctly.

He said a peaceful solution to Libya’s protracted conflict remains uncertain despite an international agreement struck in Germany, which analysts say, a fragile ceasefire between warring factions brought only a temporary truce.

Museveni has blamed African countries for failure to protect Libya adding that there could have been a better way for the western countries to handle Gaddafi.
