The Leader of Opposition in Parliament Mathias Mpuuga is today set with his team to step foot in Greater Luweero region on an oversight tour.

Mpuuga and other members of the opposition have announced a two-day tour in Nakaseke and Luweero Districts on Monday, June 5th and Tuesday, June 6th 2023 respectively.

According to their program, at the start of the visit, Mpuuga and his team will first go to the Nakaseke District Headquarters at Butalangu.

Thereafter, he will go to Kikamulo Health Center III followed by Nakaseke District General Hospital.

After the visitation of the health facilities, Mpuuga who is also the Nyendo-Mukungwe MP will then visit Kiwoko Church of Uganda Primary School and thereafter hold a public meeting at Kiwoko playground.

Allan Mayanja Ssebunya, the Nakaseke Central Member of Parliament has said that Mpuuga will also be collecting people’s views on the proposed Constitutional and Electoral reforms, collecting views on land related matters as well as those of veterans in the area.

When asked whether as security they are aware of Mpuuga’s visit, Sam Twiineamazima, the Acting Savannah Regional Police Spokesperson said that so far, they have not received any formal communication apart from reading about the same on social media.
