Members of parliament especially from the boarder districts are proposing for the privatization of face mask manufacturing and distribution.

Speaking to Pakwachi woman Mp Jane Avur says there’s slow distribution or even no masks distributed by government to people in some areas of west Nile yet they are still in lockdown.

She says this might be a deliberate move by government in the totally still lock down districts to deny them opportunity to participate in the coming elections or any other participatory activities under the disguise of Covid.

Government allocated 81 billion shilling for procuring and distribute free face masks to all Ugandans.

Now Avur suggests that government privatizes the mask procedure so that locals in particular areas can be identifies to manufacture and distribute masks instead of waiting the masks to be transported from Kampala.
