The Parliamentary Committee on Rules has today started investigations in the misconduct of the army representative in parliament Gen Elly Tumwine.
A week ago speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga tasked the committee to investigate allegations raised by Dokolo Woman Mp Cecilia Ogwal that General Tumwine threatened to harm her for telling him to vacate or pay 1bnshs as revenue from the government facility the Normal Gallery.
Today the committee received the video clip from parliamentary security showing how Gen Tumwine attacked Cecilia Ogwal in the lobby corridors of parliament.
At first parliamentary journalists were chased out of the committee but later after a long debate the chairperson Kenneth Ongalo-Obote,allowed them to attend the committee proceedings that had testimonies from the Lubaga North Mp Moses Kasibante who has proposed that Tumwine should be tamed to act as an example to those who misbehave because of power.
Meanwhile the committee has summoned Cecilia Ogwal to appear tomorrow and Tumwine on Thursday.
