The Catholic Church has reminded her followers and all Ugandans to devote themselves more into prayer especially the holy Rosary in this month of October for the country to get peace and harmony.

Every year the two months of May and October are in a special way devoted to Mother Mary who was chosen at the arrival of the white fathers as the patron to intercede for this country which contributed to the country’s motto “For God and My Country”

However the occurrences of crime that has cost lives, property and the country’s image like murders, bribery, domestic violence, abuse of children and life leave many in questions why the country of God is suffering from such acts.

The Youth Chaplain St. Peter’s Nsambya Parish Fr. Joseph Kanamala says Ugandans should never tier from prayer through mother Mary for Uganda to get better.

He was leading this year’s Children Rosary Rally organised by the Holy Cross Family Ministries Kampala at their offices Nsambya a program that attracts primary pupils from Kampala Archdiocese, pray the rosary for the Mother Mary to intercede for them, their families and the country Uganda. This year the chidrlen rosary rally was under the theme; “Blessed Are You Among Women”
