The Minister for Kampala Betty Namisango Kamya intends to lobby for bouncers to be recognized as security providers in the country especially in the field of entertainment.

Kamya disclosed this while meeting bouncers under their Umbrella body; Uganda Bouncers Association (UUBA) at her office in the Office of the President in Kampala today.

She believes that this could be achieved once bouncers mobilize, organize and streamline their operations..

However, the UUBA Spokesperson Lovice Muyama says they have always been portrayed as a bad group, thieves and murderers by the public which is erroneous.

They are over 360 registered and about 800 freelance bouncers across the country, according to UUBA Administrator Tony Ssempijja
