The Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development has finalized plans to have all land services accessible online.

This is another move to have land services extended to beneficiaries and to minimize time spent when those concerned are making inquiries on Land issues.

This was revealed during the launch of a call center with a toll free line that is going to be used to respond to people’s needs over land issues, among others reports on corruption and bribery in the land offices, draw inquiries and reports on delayed land transactions at the same time bring to government complaints and reports on poor service delivery and absenteeism among others.

The center that is to be situated at the National Land Information Centre in Wandegeya was launched by the Minister of Lands Housing and Urban Development Judith Nabakooba this Monday saying a number of transactions are delayed without proper explanation and brokers inflate the charges for services beyond the stipulated fees among other challenges which Ugandans should report.

The Director Physical Planning in the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development Vincent Byendaimira says the call centre that is functional should be utilized for information and service delivery but for accessing land information on line will be paid for at a minimal fee.
