Kasana-Luweero Diocese Education Committee has launched a new simplified biology to help learners find it easy to understand biology subject.
It is titled “Secondary School Biology Textbook authored by Rev Fr Joseph Mary Ssekalegga.
The launch was attended by the Bishop of Kasana- Luweero Rt. Rev. Bishop Paul Ssemogerere and the commissioners from the Ministry of Education, and Sports together with Technology Ministry.
During the launch at Fatima Sharing Hall in Kasana- Luweero, Bishop Ssemwogerere commended Fr Ssekalegga for the knowledge he has added on the education sector.
Fr Ssekalegga is retired educationists and currently serving as education secretary of Kasana Luweero diocese and also serving in Katikamu parish.
This comes at time when the National Curriculum Center has finalized the new curriculum and proposed O’ Level classes subjects be reduced from 42 to 20 as well as classes to start at 8.00am to 2.30pm to give ample time for students to develop talents, innovation and science.
The new curriculum however needs over 145 billion to effect its implementation.
