Karooro Okurut appointed for the COVID-19 Task committee

President Yoweri Museveni has appointed minister in charge of general Duties in the office of Prime Minister Mary Karooro Okurut, head of the Covid-19 Task force committee that is responsible for receiving all donations towards the fighting of Coronavirus.

Museveni also directed that a special account be opened in stanbic bank on which all donated funds or will wishers will deposit their contributions.

This appointment means that even the earlier donations whether monitory or relief received by the Ministry of Health or office of the Prime Minister must be reported and accounted for to the committee.

Okurutu was appointed last evening.
