Traders under their umbrella body Kampala city Traders Association (KACITA) have appealed to police to charge Nsenene traders on Uganda Airlines reasonably.

The two, Paul Mubiru 27, was captured in a video that went viral vending the grasshoppers, popularly known as nsenene, on Uganda Airline while Hajib Kiggundu Hajib 25, who took the video, were slapped with three offences against them with one fetching seven years in jail on conviction, common nuisance, refusal to follow a lawful instruction given by the aircraft crew member contrary to the Civil Aviation Security Regulation 2012, and negligent acts likely to cause the spread of an infectious disease.

Thadious Musoke the acting Chairman of KACITA told the Journalists in Kampala during the press conference today that police should be human while punishing these traders because they were making money lawfully although the place where they did it was against the law.

Musoke adds that they should be cautioned and put strict laws to whoever will do it again.

He has apologized on behalf of traders for what happened and called upon Uganda airlines always to sensitize its customers before they board to avoid such incidences to happen again.
