The Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II has underscored the rights and obligations of a family, saying that it is the foundation to the successes the New Archbishop of Kampala Paul Ssemogerere is marked for.

In his message read for him by Prince David Kintu Wasajja, Kabaka Mutebi noted a number of gifts exhibited by the New Archbishop but above all his humility that has enabled him to serve diligently in priesthood which has led him to such great heights.

Katikiro Charles Peter Mayiga on behalf of the Buganda Kingdom congratulated the New Archbishop clearly indicating that the Catholic Church has its seed in Buganda Kingdom and this cordial working relationship that started 143 years ago must be jealously protected.

Mayiga believes that once the Church works in union with Buganda Kingdom, people’s needs like desire for social needs, fight against all forms of injustices, unemployment and cultural dilution can be solved and also put the Kingdom back on top.
