Journalists from several African countries are under training on how to cover issues related to the Human Rights Protection system of the African Union (AU) and its mandate.

The training held at the common wealth resort munyonyo is ahead of the 4th African Judicial Dialogue that is scheduled to start tomorrow at the same venue.

African Court President Hon. Sylvain Ore, Supreme Court Registrar Vincent Mugabo who is leading the Ugandan team and the German International Cooperation(GIZ) among other officials are in attendance.

The deputy chief justice Owiny Dollo last week announced this fourth African union dialogue in Kampala a first of the kind to be held in Uganda Kampala besides the previous 3 which were held in Arusha Tanzania. The conference is under the theme “tackling contemporary human rights issues along with the judiciary of Africa” and would run for five days.
