The government has requested the district investigative officers to conduct investigations on people taking pictures of female students or pupils and circulate them on social media.

This follows a picture that went viral on social media over the weekend of a female student dressed in an orange t-shirt seating in class studying while breastfeeding her baby.

Agnes Igoye, the Deputy Coordinator for Prevention of Trafficking in Persons in the Ministry of Internal Affairs says that it is wrong, immoral, and illegal to take a picture without permission from the owner and circulate it on social media.

She adds that this action is a direct attack on such students that is intended to torment these students and make them drop from school.

Meanwhile, Agnes Igoye has also noted that they have started investigations over allegations of kidney loss by one Judith Nakintu in Saudi Arabia where she was taken by Nile Treasure Gate Company for domestic work.
