Government is to launch the give out of food to vulnerable persons tomorrow as a way of supporting Ugandans during the lockdown currently being observed in the country to curb the spread of coronavirus.

The launch will be presided over by the Prime Minister Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda in Bwaise, Kawempe division of Kampala city despite parliament’s directive to halt the exercise until its rolled out across the country.

He has however cautioned people to stay home because the food is going to be delivered by the local council chairmen escorted by the UPDF, Police, ISO and other security officers for safety purposes, peace and for proper monitoring in the villages.

People are encouraged to stay home as food will be delivered to their premises.
