The State Minister for Higher Education John Chrysostom Muyingo has warned teachers and students against involving in examination malpractice in the UNEB examinations that are starting with S4.

Dr. Muyingo says the Amended UNEB Act 1983 of 2020 has come with harsh punishments for those who always believed in cheating examinations.

He also expressed concern over the ongoing strike by university staff from public universities saying this group of public servants is inconsiderate to the students who are back for their finals, if they have been paid for the whole year of 2020 when they were not teaching why then not wait for government to budget well for their salary increment than striking.

He was addressing the congregation at Lugazi Diocese during the diocesan 24th anniversary where he also contributed 10 million shs towards the “Empaggi and Olutta” fundraising initiatives to support the development of the diocese.

Muyingo has also called on parents to do all it takes to take their children back to school inspite all the economic hardships and provide the necessary needs including safeguards against Covid-19.
