As Christians cerebrate Easter government is challenged to pay more attention to people’s needs especially security by providing necessary resources to strengthen the country’s security agencies to fight crime.

The Archbishop of Kampala Cyprian Kizito Lwanga the Chairman Uganda joint Christian council (UJCC) while delivering his Eater massage today at Lubaga said that killings have become rampant in the country challenging government to curb activities of criminal networks to improve security.

This comes as a number of people have suffered following attacks by machetes groups that started in parts of Masaka, the killing of women in Wakiso and now the incidents of kidnap, torture the victim as they demand for ransom if not honoured the victim is killed.

Dr. Cyprian adds that offenders should face justice at all levels without fear or favor to anyone including government officials.

He has disclosed that their also many challenges faced in the country such as domestic violence, poverty ,land conflicts human trafficking, abortion as well as promiscuity among others that need to be addressed.

He calls upon everyone to embrace Uganda’s motto For God and my Country, by caring for humanity, environment and the refugees.
