Makerere University has suspended Dr Swizen Kyomuhendo, a senior lecturer in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (SWASA) on allegations of Sexual Harassment.
The suspension was sanctioned by Makerere University Vice-Chancellor Prof Barnabas Nawangwe to allow smooth investigations into allegations labelled against him.
Dr Kyomuhendo was accused of sexually exploiting female students in exchange for marks which he denies.
The University Senior Publicist Ritah Namisango, says the VC Prof Nawangwe has also set up an Investigation Committee to handle the matter.
Dr Kyomuhendo has been asked to hand over all University property including students’ scripts that are in his possession and any other work in progress under his care.
He is also advised to desist from any access to the College premises and interactions with any student of Makerere University until investigations are complete.
