The Former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party leader, Dr Kizza Besigye has described President Museveni anti-corruption walk as a parade of the most corrupt Ugandans.

He says what happened today is a good demonstration of a captive state full of corrupt officers who guard themselves from losing power and equally property acquired through elicit means.

Besigye was addressing the press shortly after Police intercepted him at Mpererwe in Wakiso district forced him back home where he had beat the security deployed to block him and his associates like Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago and Hon. Betty Nambooze from joining together at Katonda road people’s government offices to match to the constitutional square in a parallel walk against corruption.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango said the deployments at homes of politicians and along the roads were intended to provide security to the politicians and also contain the traffic although he hastened to add that no other politician had received clearance for a walk.

A City lawyer Abudallah Kiwanuka says president Musevni should act by expelling all corrupt government officials from offices and recover any monies said to have been invested without accountability to Ugandans if Uganda is to baost of zero tolerance to corruption.

Meanwhile some members of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC)who have been blocked from joining the walk have condemned the security officers for being partisan.
