Democratic Party has withdrawn her candidate in the Arua Municipality By-election Kennedy Madira and decided to rally behind an independent candidate Kassiano Wadri the former Terego county MP.

In a press conference held this evening at City house the PDP Party President Dr. Abed Bwanika the official spokesperson for the DP re-union said their decision is based on a win of the election not to fill space.

The wave of the People Power led by Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi that is bringing together the disgruntled opposition is said to have called Justice Forum JEEM to withdrawal its candidate Jaffar Alekua

12 candidates are vying for the seat that fell vacant early in June following the gruesome murdered of Ibrahim Abiriga at Kawanda in Wakiso district together with his bodyguard-cum Brother Saidi Kongo.

NRM has fielded Nusura Tiperu  and Bruce Musema (FDC). The Forum for democratic Change assistant Spokes person Paul Mwiru said they will support a winning candidate but Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda the FDC Spokes person immediately answered that any party member who will act to the contrary during the campaigns he or she will be dragged to the party disciplinary committee.
