The parliamentary Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (COSASE) has handed over three more suspects to the parliamentary CID in connection with defrauding government.

The accused are said to have syndicated to and connived to steal Uganda Lands Commission’s in the recent 10.6bn which was compensated to land beneficiaries who sold to the government.

The suspects who counsel Richard Buzibira of Lubega and Buzibira advocates, Peter Amara the Son –in-law of the Namuli Natalia the beneficiary of 2.3bn shs paid by ULC.

During the interaction, the committee was puzzled after the witnesses cross pinned each other where counsel Buzi-bira alleged to have paid the money to Natalia in presence of her Son-in-Law Amara in the chambers of the firm who later denied receiving the money.

Furthermore counsel Buzibira who was on oath insisted saying that besides Amara as a witness at the first release of 318m shs cashed to Natalia, there was also a second witness in the names Walen Mwesigye who later the chairperson of the committee Joel Ssenyonyi issued summons to appear tomorrow before the committee.

Meanwhile speaking to Ssenyonyi, he vowed to pursue the matter upto conclusion so that all culprits in the syndicate pay back government money.
