The chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) has shifted to investigating how the case into the murder of a senior police officer Andrew Felix Kaweesi’s murder case was mismanaged by the Police after months of trying to revive the investigations since the incident on March 17th 2017

The investigation into the mismanagement is based on the findings during the attempt to carry out fresh investigation as well as during the assessment of the Internal Security organisation (ISO) report that had implicated the former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kale Kayihura and other senior officers.

Its reported that all key elements of the investigations were mismanaged right from the scene of crime to the recovered exhibits some of which are missing, making it impossible to begin the investigations a fresh as had been planned.

CMI has now set up a team of operatives and investigators to investigate how and who mismanaged the investigations, to help in recovering tracks that could lead to Kaweesi’s assassins.
