Chief Whip Tayebwa appoints 22 MPs as regional, Committee whips

The Government Chief Whip Thomas Tayebwa has designated 22 Members of Parliament to work as regional and committee whips.

Tayebwa says that the appointed whips are going to assist his office to coordinate and whip MPs in their respective regions.

The appointed MPs include; Matheniko County MP John Bosco Looki for Karamoja region, Usuk County MP John Okiror for Teso, Gogonya County MP Derrick Orone for Bukedi, Kween County MP Williams Chemonges for Sebei region.

Others are Bushigai County MP David Wakikona for Bugisu, Bugabula South MP Maurice Kibalya for Busoga, Kwania County MP Tonny Ayoo for Lango, Agago West MP Richard Anywar for Acholi.

Arua Central MP Jackson Atim is for West Nile, Lwengo Woman MP Cissy Namujju is for Greater Masaka, Gomba Woman MP Sylvia Nayebale for Central Buganda.

National Female Youth MP Phiona Nyamutoro is in charge of Special Interest Groups, Bukoto Midwest MP Isaac Ssejjoba is in charge of the Committee on Government Assurance, Bugiri Woman MP Agnes Taaka is for Local Government Accounts, Kazo County MP Dan Kimosho for COSASE and Tororo South MP Fredrick Angura is for the Public Accounts Committee.
