The Chairman Uganda Episcopal Conference Rt. Rev. Dr Joseph Anthony Zziwa has appealed to government through the ministry of health to improve on the health services.
In his new year’s message Bishop Zziwa said it’s ridiculous for the country to continue experiencing deaths due to minor issues like lack of drugs, surgeries and checkup which are said to be available in all health centers.
Government constructed health center IIIs and IIs however many lack doctors and drugs putting the lives of many in the rural areas at risk.
Besides working for peace Bishop Zziwa emphasized hard work by all Ugandans to eradicate poverty and also called for support to the National dialogue planned by the elders’ forum along with religious leaders.
