The Bishop of Masaka Diocese Rt. Rev. John Baptist Kaggwa has commended his majesty Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II for the spirit of social responsibility in the Kingdom.

During their periodical engagement as people from Masaka living in Kampala metropolitan area (every three months) at Bishop Ddungu gardens in Nsambya , Bishop Kaggwa said through the Kabaka’s birthday runs each annual contribution has gone towards improving on health facilities and treatment of Fistula and know Sickle Cells.

The Bishop said its time government allowed many other people to take social responsibility to the community such as the construction of roads and health centers which will reduce on the high expenses ever allotted to such public utilities.

The chaplain Masaka Catholic community Kampala Rev. Fr. John Baptist Kaganda urged members to emphasize the importance of unity and working together as an avenue to develop the people of Masaka.

Among those present, the Kalungu west Member of Parliament Joseph Gonzaga Ssewungu rebuked the ministry of education for its intention to come up with the policy forcing teachers to renew their certificates every after two years.

Cabinet passed the policy that now awaits parliament on the premise that, there has been a lot of ghosts that gave chance to waste of tax payers funds

Kalungu parish headed by the parish priest Rev. Fr. Dr. Augustine Ntabana who was the chief organizer for today’s fund raising managed to contribute 6,608, 000 million shillings towards the diocesan development.

The chairperson Masaka Kampala Catholic community Everisto Kayondo commended Banamasaka for the support and unity that has assisted them to register success.

They started with a Mass that was attended by many people from Masaka animated by St. Charles Lwanga Kalungu Parish.
