The Archbishop of Kampala Dr Cyprian Kizito Lwanga has revealed to have had a meeting with President Yoweri Museveni yesterday over issues of spying on them he made public on Good Friday which raised serious concerns.

Dr. Lwanga says their meeting was fruitful and was sure the president was to act on the alleged list of those who spy on the church that was left to him by anonymous persons.

He revealed this at the ordinations of Seminarian Denis Walugembe, a member of the New Catechetical Way from Masaka diocese to deaconate at a colorful ceremony held at Lubaga Cathedral.

He adds that he will also summon his own members mentioned on the list to be aiding the spying on him saying if true it’s contrary to the teaching of the Catholic Church and are reprimand measures set according to the canon law.

Dr. Lwanga says spying for a good cause might be good but black mailing and charactersassinating a person is unacceptable.

In his homily Dr. Lwanga urged the newly ordained and all priests to always prepare homilies to provide spiritual guidance to the believers’ reminding those who spend time in bars and markets that they risk losing God’s mercy and blessings.

The New Catechetical Way is a new religious group started in the early 60’s to provide spiritual nourishment to the vulnerable and currently they have a seminary working with St. Mbagga Major Seminary in Ggaba to train priests for international missions.

The function was attended by among others his lordship Bishop John Baptist Kaggwa of Masaka diocese, the vicar general of Kampala Archdiocese Msgr. Charles Kasibante, priests and the religious.
