Traders under the Kampala Arcades Traders Association (KATA) have announced their preparations for the International Labour Day celebrations saying they are to celebrate within Nabugabo road.

Uganda as a country always joins the rest of the world to mark the day that is observed every May 1st with 2019 being structured under the theme, ‘Uniting Workers for Social and Economic Advancement”.

Addressing a joint media briefing in Kampala, the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) National Secretary for Labour, Habib Buwembo says Nabugabo road will be closed for the celebrations where they have invited several politicians.

He mentions out the FDC Presidential candidate Dr, Kiiza Besigye, Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, Trade Minister Ameria Kyambadde and Minister for Kampala Betty Kamya being invited on the function.

KATA Assistant Spokesperson Muhammad Mulwani confirms that they have noticed the police about their celebrations expecting no interventions but protection.
