The Trade Minister Amelia Kyambadde has advised traders and travelers to use the Mirama hills in Ntungamo district as an alternative route to and from Rwanda to Uganda.

Kyambadde’says that the shift in the entry points to Rwanda will reduce on the suffering traders and transporters are experiencing since Rwanda closed its boarders to Uganda on February 27th

The Foreign Affairs Minister Sam Kuteesa held talks with his Rwandan counterpart Richard Sezibera to find an amicable solution to any standoff.

However, Minister Kyambadde says that Ugandan exporters should consider exporting their goods to Democratic Republic of Congo which consumes much more than Rwanda.

Saying this, Kyambadde has been opening the 3rd annual Exporters Conference in Kampala organized by the Uganda Export Promotion Board (UEPB)
