Police in Kampala has confirmed to be holding Christopher Aine, the former body guard of ex-prime minister, Amama Mbabazi for staging an illegal protest for being jobless.

The Kampala Police Spokesperson, Patrick Onyango, said preliminary investigations show that Aine and three of his colleagues took to the streets protesting because of money, they caused commotion as they shouted on their voices accusing government of corruption and President Museveni to be surrounded by mafias.

They said they are leaders for peace and are launching their campaign for regime change it was at this time that Police from the CPS Kampala rounded them off at the constitutional squared and detained them.

Onyango cautioned the public against staging unlawful protests, saying must channel their grievances using appropriate procedures.

Aine came to the limelight in 2015 as the bodyguard of the then presidential candidate, Amama Mbabazi when he wrestled down Busoga East Regional Police Commander –RPC, Edgar Nabongho and his guards.Police declared him a wanted criminal forcing him to go into hiding until when he reappeared under the protection of General Salim Sale claiming to have been hiding in Tanzania.
