A prominent Lawyer in Kampala Peter Walubiri has called for an independent audit on all COVID 19 donations and funds.
Uganda budgeted at least 77.8 million dollars for the Covid-19 response here and abroad to support the treatment of Covid-19 and support the post Covid era. Already over 33 billion shillings have been generated locally by well-wishers while international finance bodies have also added huge sums of money towards the same cause.
However Walubiri says facilities like UVRI among others are complaining of not being facilitated to execute their duties in the fight against the pandemic.
Walubiri who is also a member of the opposition Uganda People’s Congress UPC party says government should not mess with their right to vote by bringing scientific electoral process which he says is not fair and should be boycotted by the opposition in Uganda.
