The Uganda National Examinations Board -UNEB have finalized the preparations for marking of Primary Leaving Examination -PLE and the Uganda Certificate of Education-UCE scripts that were conducted from 17th October to the end of this month 2022.

 

Addressing the Journalists at Police headquarters in Naguru, the UNEB Spokesperson Jennifer Kalule Musamba said the marking exercise will be conducted from 41 examination centers with 20 of them earmarked for UCE, 13 for PLE and 8 for UACE.

 

Kalule says that at least 14000 examiners have been hired to conduct the marking exercise of which 6000 will handle PLE and 8500 examiners to mark UCE where about 116 papers are waiting to be marked.

 

Meanwhile, Kalule has revealed that they have several cases of examinations malpractice which are being investigated that were registered from the ongoing of Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education exams

 

Among the cases include, impersonation involving two candidates of West Nile High in Fort Portal and five candidates of St Francis SS in Kawempe, while two candidates of Katooke SS in Kyenjojo were found in possession of mobile handsets in the examination room.
