The Religious from Kampala Archdiocese have converged at Lubaga Cathedral to celebrate their day on the feast of the presentation of Christ in the temple in the 4th Sunday of ordinary time.

The Mass was led by the Pope Nuncio Archbishop Luigi Bianco along with the outgoing Vicar General Msgr. Charles Kasibante, the Chancellor Fr. Pius Male among others.

In is message Archbishop Bianco said as Jesus was presented to the world, the religious are called to serve the world in respect to the vows and obligation in spite of the challenges.

He said religious life calls for faithfulness and prayer through which God intercedes for the world, hard work to help the community out the daily challenges that test both the spiritual and general life of the people to bring hope and meaning to the life and humanity.

Msgr. Charles Kasibante also thanked the religious for their attendance and the work they offer within the archdiocese.

The Episcopal Vicar for the Religious in Kampala Archdiocese a White Fr. Richard Nyombi announced that the Archbishop Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga who was not present in today’s mass that had again called the religious at the Lubaga Cathedral on Thursday 20th February for special prayers that will involve consecration and adoration the blessed sacrament to start afresh in their vocation.

Kampala Archdiocese being in the center of the country and the Civil Capital it has over 200 religious Institutes  and congregations of men and women serving in various capacities; in schools, hospitals, homes for the vulnerable, teaching catechism and in anther instances as administrators
