p> The Government has warned the public to guard against the increasing cases of anthrax in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
There was an outbreak of anthrax two months ago killing 82 hippos and nine buffaloes in the areas of Kazinga Channel, Lakes Edward and George.
The national task force chairman Dr Nicholas Kauta says the found it appropriate to sensitise the public about the dangers and causes of anthrax.
Dr Kauta appeals to residents to stop grazing their animals in and around the Naitonal Park to avoid their livestock contracting the disease.
He urges them to report any cases of dead animals, domestic or wild; and also not to eat their meat.
He adds that no one has been reported dead so far.
