Government to strengthen oil and Gas Management. |

The ministry of energy and mineral development has released a pres statement on the programme to strengthen and the management of the oil and gas sector in the country.
Addressing the press at Amber House, the Permanent Secretary Mr Kabagambe Kaliisa says the Government ha had a very long history of co-operation in the oil and gas sector with the Royal Kingdom of Norway.
He says the purpose of the programme was to strengthen the state Petroleum administration in Uganda with regard to policy institutional and legal framework.
With the support of the Norwegian Government, Kabagambe notes the goal of the new programme is to contribute to the achievement of the goal of the Nation’s Oil and Gas Policy of Uganda.
The goal is to use the country’s oil and gas resources to contribute to early achievement of poverty eradication and add value to society. |
