Kajjansi police is holding a couple for killing its one year old child during a domestic fight last Thursday.

Kampala Metropolitan spokesperson Henry Kalulu says Samuel Buyinza and Hanifah Namayanja, residents of Kisigula in Makindye Ssabagabo will be charged with murder.

Kalulu says during a domestic fight, Namayanja used the child as a shield of which Buyinza boxed. Shortly after realizing that the baby was in comma, Buyinza rushed the baby to the nearby clinic but it was too late to save it.

The domestic brawl started after Buyinza, 35 accused Namayanja, 36 of being drunk.

However Namayanza says she no longer drinks alcohol like before. She adds that the baby slipped and fell from her after she was slapped by Buyinza thrice.
