About ten heavily armed and not-smiling military policemen accompanied two officials from the Uganda Broadcasting Council to switch off RADIO SAPIENTIA.
No reason has been given.
Yesterday the Government switched off a Buganda kingdom radio station CBS, Suubi FM and Radio Two Akaboozi Ku Bbiri.
The Government warns that radio stations which make inflammatory statements, will be closed.
This comes in wake of the chaos which has engulfed the city and surrounding areas, following the stopping of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi from going to his Bugerere County tomorrow for Buganda Youth Day celebrations.
Our Internet providers claim that due to security reasons, the internet provision to Radio Sapientia is also going to be disconnected.
