Radio Sapientia Profile

The name " SAPIENTIA" is a Latin word for "WISDOM". It carries triple meanings. In the first sense, it's the Name and indicates the Ownership of the Radio Station. It further depicts what the Radio stands for - Highest Quality in its Program Services. Finally, the Station stand vividly out of the 'Sea' of other Radios as a Champion in Advocacy for: Peace, Justice, Integral Development; Political Maturity; Viable Economic Strategies; Meaningful Cultural Heritage; Human Rights; Defense for Human Life; Health; Education; Fact, Truth and Sanity; Dedication to God - for this is the WISEST thing to do in and for our Country today.

Location

Radio SAPIENTIA 94.4 FM is located within the Perimeters of the Uganda Catholic Secretariat at Nsambya, opposite Nsambya Hospital. The Radio Studios and the 5KW Transmitter are Co- located together with the Radio's own 110m high Tower.

Type of radio

Radio SAPIENTIA is REGISTERED as a LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY. It promates all information, News and Advertising that Support True Human Values. The immediate target group for Radio Sapientia is the "family". However, the focus is put on the two most influential groups/categories in society the youths and adults. Attention to the Children and the Aged are not forgotten either.

With its 110 Self-supporting Tower and 5 KW Transmitter, Radio Sapientia can be audibly received in the following districts: Kampala, Mukono, Kayunga, Mpigi, Wakiso, Mubende, Kibale, Kiboga, Luweero, Nakasongola, Kalangala, Jinja, Iganga, Mayuge, Bugiri, and Kamuli, in the North; Lake Victoria Islands.

Language

Radio SAPIENTIA broadcasts predominantly in the widely spoken languages within its Radius of Coverage, English and Luganda.
